Why We Do Tithing

Money can be personal, emotional, and sometimes uncomfortable to talk about in church. But generosity is about far more than a transactional act or a religious obligation. In this message, we explore how giving is a spiritual practice that gently shapes our hearts and teaches us what it means to trust God. Rather than pressure or obligation, tithing is framed as an invitation to participate in what God is already doing and to be formed over time through simple, faithful practices. This sermon creates space to reflect on our own patterns of giving, what they might reveal about what we trust, and how God patiently meets us and forms us as we learn to place our security in Him. Key Scriptures: Psalm 24:1; 1 Chronicles 29:14; Deuteronomy 14:22–23; Matthew 6:21; Matthew 23:23

From Series: "Why We Do What We Do"

We’ll take time to reflect on some of the core practices of our life together as a church, not just what we do, but why we do it, and how these practices shape us in our faith and following of Jesus.
